SUMMARY:Writer's Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Start the new year off with a weekend offering the perfect alchemy of natural beauty and creative stimulation on this writers retreat. \nTerre Haute Farm provides an ideal environment for anyone embarking on a personal journey via the written word.  You will submit a short excerpt of writing to share\, but fear not: even if your work is in the “first draft” stage you’ll be given positive\, constructive feedback to further your goals\, be they publication or personal growth. \nWe’ll use the book “The Mindful Writer” by Dinty Moore as our primary text\, together with short essays chosen especially to bring inspiration. \nLed by author Teresa Hudson\, the weekend will also include plenty of time for personal reflection\, writing\, and space to enjoy Terre Haute’s many natural amenities. \nSpace is limited to 6 retreatants. \nCost: $500 including accommodations and meals (meals include a welcome reception with refreshments Friday evening\, breakfast and lunch Saturday and breakfast Sunday). \n\n  \n\n\n\nInstructor Bio: \n\n\n\nTeresa Hudson holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Humanities degrees from the University of Richmond and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from VCU\, where she taught creative nonfiction. In addition to her published short stories\, her nonfiction work has been published in Ireland\, Russia\, and literary journals in the U.S.
